Dogwood Ltd. in Surrey, BC is looking for a Trades Dispatcher to dispatch our in-house BC technicians. The Trades Dispatcher will also schedule service work and small renovation projects, dispatch subcontractors, and ensure the ordering of materials and equipment.
Dogwood Ltd. works on commercial renovations and facilities maintenance for businesses in the retail and food industry, pharma, restaurants, and financial sector.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Creating work schedules for in-house BC technicians.
· Assisting with sourcing new subcontractors and vendors, gathering quotes and pricing from subcontractors, and adding them into the database.
· Creating work orders for in-house technicians and subcontractors, and dispatching them accordingly.
· Following up on all necessary paperwork for subcontractors, incl. WCB.
· Ensuring technicians work safely as per WCB standards and our H&S policy.
· Supporting the preparation of quotes.
· Creating new client accounts in the database.
· Responsible for communicating all relevant information between clients, subcontractors, technicians, and all team members.
· Supporting the ordering of materials and supplies for small to medium-size renovation projects.
· Assisting in calculating time and materials on work orders and preparing for invoicing.
· Shared responsibility for emergency after-hour calls as per the rotation schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
Required Training/Experience:
· 3+ years of experience as a dispatcher within the construction or trades industry
· 2 years of administrative experience
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office
· Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
· Ability to solve problems effectively
· Knowledge of Salesforce is considered an asset
